The continuing of "Going Home"

What happened after Vingo came home to his wife and children?

When Vingo walked of the bus he was so nervous. He stood a long time outside in the garden wondering if there was somebody home. It was so quiet. The children always used to play in the garden, but now it wasn’t a toy to see. Vingo just stood there thinking; “Well my oldest son is 17 years, and my only girl is 15 years and my little boy is now 10 years. So they maybe don’t play outside in the garden anymore?” Vingo maybe stood outside in the garden on the same place for about 15 minutes before something happen. Out the front door came a beautiful woman. She had a beautiful dress on with flowers in every color. Her hair was dark brown, and he could see her beautiful dark eyes from the garden. Vingo was speechless; he just stood there gaping with his mouth. The woman started to run to Vingo and right in his arms. This beautiful woman was his wife. She started to cry when Vingo took his arms around her and kissed her in the forehead, Vingo started to cry too. He didn’t expect this kind of homecoming. After Vingo and his wife had stood there for a wild, his children came running out the front door. They had really grown up now, wow! It was only Samatha, his daughter, who cried. Lucas and Nathan was boys, and they shouldn’t cry, but Vingo could see that they had a tears in their eyes when he hugged them. To Vingo’s big surprise it seemed like they had really missed him, this was better than his dreams and his expectations! They realy didn’t say a word before they sat down and started to eat a delicious dinner that Lucy and Samatha had made. After the dinner they got dessert. It was the two boys who had made this. Vingo hadn’t eaten good food on a very long time. Prison food stinks and it isn’t good!

The first two weeks it was a little bit strange. Vingo didn’t felt home before he had got used to all the routines in the house. And he got a job, a good one too! The children hadn’t asked Vingo where he has been all this time. Maybe Lucy had told them? They were one happy family now. They laugh with the table and watched TV together every evening with popcorn. Every Sunday they had to visit Lucy’s parents. They seemed very happy to see Vingo. Vingo thought that they would tell Lucy that she was so stupid to take him back. But do they know what he had done? They didn’t ask eider.

After some few weeks Vingo felt that he had to ask Lucy why everyone was so happy to see him, and why they didn’t ask him where he had been. Lucy told him that she had told them where he has been and why. So you properly wonder why he has been in jail. Well, for some few years ago his wife struggled. She used drugs, drank every day and she was just a mess. On that time it was only Vingo that worked, Lucy got fired when she came drunk on work one day. They didn’t have enough money for this. Vingo worked overtime as much as he could, but still they didn’t have enough money. They hadn’t enough money to send Lucy to rehab, and they didn’t have enough money to get food. Vingo had some few friends that well.. They were criminals. They could help him to rob a store or something. They planned for weeks, but Vingo had to do it alone because they had family now and they wouldn’t get in trouble. The plan didn’t work out, as you all know he went to jail. So Lucy had gilt and wanted to do something back to Vingo that she loved so much. She told the children, every neighbor and friends, including her parents. They thought that Vingo was a strong man, and they had all respect for him. He did what every husband would do. He did something to help his wife and his children.

Vingo and his family lived happy together since this. Vingo and Lucy had good jobs until they got retirement, but they had a lot of money to live the rest of their lives without any concerns. They paid for all the three children’s educations. Samatha got a husband and three lovely boys. She also got a killer job; she is a very good and paid lawyer. Lucas got a wife and two girls and one boy. He owns his own company. Nathan got a wife, he has a son, and they are expecting twins to the summer. He owns the company together with his brother Lucas.
